The grand era of the mesh purse spans from late Victorian times through the 1930's. Whiting & Davis, and Mandalian are the most common brands I repair. I also work on a variety of other mesh types.
With 20-years experience: collecting, researching, and repairing antique purses, I strive to offer accurate restorations. As a conservator, my repair philosophy is to preserve as much of the original integrity of a purse as possible. Authentic mesh replacement parts are also utilized whenever possible.
